Allergic Rhinitis/Sinusitis

Allergic rhinitis is normally related with seasonal change, such as winter to spring, or autumn to winter. It is oftern coupled with other symptoms such as red or dry or itchy eyes, etc.

The underlying theory and treatment will be slightly different from chronic Rhinitis or Sinusitis.

Your doctor might tell you that it is due to flower or dust or anything , but in reality it is due to your body’s reaction to the seasonal change.  It is normally related with lung, spleen and liver system.

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the lining inside the sinuses which can be acute or chronic. When the sinuses become blocked and fill with fluid, germs can grow and cause symptoms such as headache and nasal yellowish secretions. Blocked sinuses can be caused by the common cold, hay fever or nasal polyps (small lumps inside the nose).

It is not difficult to treat.  Moxibustion with or acupuncture (or acupressure for kids) is a very good method to treat either sinusitis or rhinitis.  Most clients will feel different after the first treatment.
